A Mesh Sized Hole

This is a very short post as I really don’t have much to say about this yet.
Just before Christmas I stumbled upon LoRa which brought me to reading about Meshtastic. I ended up buying a T1000-E as well as a Lilygo V2.1_1.6.1. Turns out the Lilygo was a bad idea as it’s pretty old and I’ve managed to seemingly buy one of the very few incompatible device combos out there.
For now the mesh in Oslo is somewhat sparse but a few people have set up nodes to improve coverage. I’m considering how helpful it would be to have a node on Ekeberg.
I can’t really explain why my curiosity was peaked by this technology, but I guess there is something about decentralized infrastructure that scratches my self-hosted interest?
Anyways, I wanted to get this out as I actually needed to get in touch with someone over Meshtastic to discover that there is a MeshNorway Matrix server with some people mostly centered around Oslo. Some prelimenary searching didn’t surface this for me, however now the word is out on the Meshtastic Community page at least.
And now when doing a controll search I stumbled upon 868.no - I’ll look into that!
